Terms of Service

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By installing the Vi Voice™ extension, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree - do not use the extension.

2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Vi Voice™ is a Chrome browser extension that provides:

• Speech-to-text conversion in 11 languages
• Automatic punctuation placement and grammar correction
• Ability to use artificial intelligence for text improvement (if you add your API key)
• Text accumulation between sessions
• Clipboard management

3. USER REQUIREMENTS

To use the service, you must:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Have a compatible Chrome browser (version 88 or higher)
• Grant permission to access the microphone
• Grant permission to access the clipboard
• Provide your own OpenAI API key for artificial intelligence functions (optional)

4. USER RESPONSIBILITIES

You agree to:

• Use the service only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security features
• Not use the service to process confidential personal information
• Maintain the confidentiality of your OpenAI API key
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the service
• Not resell the extension itself as a commercial service without permission
• Accept responsibility for all content processed through the service

5. OPENAI API KEY

• You are responsible for obtaining and managing your OpenAI API key
• All OpenAI charges for API usage are your responsibility
• We do not have access to your decrypted API key
• We are not responsible for any expenses related to OpenAI
• You must comply with OpenAI's terms of service

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

• Vi Voice™ and all associated trademarks are property of Oleksandr Hrytsai
• The service is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws
• You retain all rights to content created using the service
• We do not claim ownership of your transcribed text or processed content

7. PRIVACY

Use of the service is governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• We do not store your dictated text
• API keys are encrypted with your master_secret
• We collect only anonymous usage statistics
• Data is processed in accordance with GDPR requirements

8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• MERCHANTABILITY
• FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• NON-INFRINGEMENT
• ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF RESULTS
• UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION

WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM RESPONSIBILITY FOR:

• Accuracy of speech recognition
• Accuracy of punctuation placement or grammar correction
• Availability of third-party services (OpenAI)
• Compatibility with all websites or web applications

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
• WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

• Loss of data or content
• OpenAI API expenses
• Errors in transcription or processing
• Service interruptions or unavailability
• Third-party service failures

10. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Oleksandr Hrytsai from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

• Your use of the service
• Your violation of these terms
• Your violation of third-party rights
• Your content processed through the service

11. MODIFICATIONS

We reserve the right to:

• Modify these terms at any time
• Update or discontinue the service
• Change features or functionality

Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

12. TERMINATION

• You may terminate use of the service at any time by uninstalling the extension
• We may terminate or suspend access for terms violations
• Upon termination, provisions that should survive will remain in effect

13. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany.

14. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These terms together with the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service.
